Prepare slow cooker by spraying with Pam butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray
In the slow cooker, add the apples, raisins (if using), sugar substitute, apple juice, and apple pie spice.
Cut butter into 4 or 5 chunks, and drop, spread out, on top of the slow cooker contents
Place lid on slow cooker, set to low, and cook for 4 to 6 hours.
