tbsp
butter

clove
garlic
minced

onion
chopped

cup
basmati rice
1
tbsp
turmeric
1½
cups
chicken broth
1
drop
thyme
salt
to taste
ground black pepper
to taste

bay leaf
Instructions
In a saucepan over medium/high heat, add 1 TBSP butter.
Add garlic and onion. Cook until softened.
Add basmati rice and turmeric. Stir to mix well
Add broth, thyme, salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 17 minutes.
Add the rest of the butter, and stir to mix well.
Remove bay leaf
Serve immediately.
