In a large saucepan, add olive oil, and place over medium heat.
When hot, add onions in the saucepan, stirring often, cook approximately 2 to 3 minutes, or until the onions become translucent.
In the saucepan, add in garlic, salt, and dried oregano. Stir to mix, and cook for 1 minute.
In the saucepan, add tomato paste. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
In the saucepan, add crushed tomatoes.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer approximately 5 to 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
