Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Crack the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Put the whites in a big bowl and the yolks in a small one.
Add salt to the egg whites.
Use an electric mixer on high speed to beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
Carefully mix in the cheese, chives, thyme, and pepper with a spoon.
Spoon the mixture into four piles on the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into circles. Use the back of the spoon to make a dent in the middle of each circle.
Bake in the preheated oven for 3 minutes.
Take the pan out of the oven but keep the oven on.
Gently slide one egg yolk into the dent of each circle.
Put the pan back in the oven and bake until the yolks are just set but still runny, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Sprinkle some more black pepper on top.
Serve the dish while it's warm.
