Heat outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
Place the turkey hot dogs on the grill and cook them. Turn them occasionally until they are lightly charred, which should take about 7 minutes.
During the last minute of cooking the hot dogs, add the hot dog buns to the grill. Grill them until they are lightly toasted.
Place each hot dog inside a toasted bun.
On one side of each hot dog in the bun, lay down one slice of pickle.
On the other side of each hot dog, arrange two halves of the tomato slices.
Spread ½ teaspoon of mustard over each hot dog.
Add 1 teaspoon of sweet pickle relish on top of the mustard on each hot dog.
Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of chopped onions over the relish on each hot dog.
If you like, place a pepperoncini on each hot dog.
Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of celery seeds over each hot dog.
