In a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker, place the chicken, tomatoes, onion, garam masala, sugar, garlic, salt, ginger, coriander, and cumin.
Cover the slow cooker.
Cook for 3 to 4 hours on High or for 6 to 8 hours on Low.
Stir in the yogurt.
