Place the muffin in a toaster and toast it until it turns golden brown.
Spread cream cheese on both of the muffin halves.
Place smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese on one side of the muffin.
Sprinkle capers evenly over the salmon.
Add a handful of fresh arugula on top of the capers.
Take the other half of the muffin and gently press it down on the toppings to create a sandwich.
