Place the tomato halves on a non-stick cookie sheet.
Sprinkle the tomatoes with salt to taste.
Bake the tomatoes until they have a leathery texture. Note: This may take all day. Smaller pieces will require less oven time.
Once dried, store the tomatoes in the refrigerator.
