Ingredient Substitutions
Fresh Cherries
Replace the frozen cherries with an equal amount of pitted fresh cherries. The filling may need slightly less microwave time.
Granulated Sugar
Use light brown sugar in place of granulated sugar. The filling will have a mild molasses taste.
Powdered Sugar
Leave off the powdered sugar or use a small amount of cinnamon sugar.
Egg Roll Wrappers
Use spring roll pastry wrappers if they are made for frying. The size and texture may differ, so adjust the filling amount as needed.
Cherries
Use frozen blueberries or mixed berries in place of the cherries. Microwave the filling until it becomes thick.

Notes
Tips and Tricks
Do not overfill the wrappers – Too much cherry filling can leak while the rolls cook. Keep the wrappers covered – Cover unused wrappers with a damp paper towel so they don’t dry out while you work. Leave space in the basket – Arrange the rolls in one layer with room between them so the wrappers can brown. Watch the parchment paper – Use perforated air fryer parchment and place food on top of it so it stays in the basket.Storing and Reheating
Refrigerate – Store cooled dessert rolls in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the Air Fryer – Air fry at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the wrapper is crisp and the filling is warm. Freeze – Freeze cooled rolls in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Thaw them in the refrigerator before reheating.Nutrition
