Weight Watchers friendly Air Fryer Apple Turnover for One is a quick little dessert that’s ready in just 13 minutes. It has a warm cinnamon-apple filling tucked inside a simple pastry made with self-rising flour and Greek yogurt.

The air fryer cooks the outside until golden while the apple softens inside.

I like this recipe when I want something sweet without making a full batch of pastries. It makes exactly one turnover, so there aren’t extra desserts sitting around afterward. It’s the perfect quick Fall dessert!

The monk fruit sweetener adds sweetness, and the egg wash helps the pastry brown nicely.

This single-serving apple turnover is simple enough for a weeknight treat but still feels a little special. Serve it warm when the pastry is crisp and the cinnamon filling is at its best.

Why You’ll Love This Air Fryer Apple Turnover for One

Made for One

This recipe makes one turnover, so you won’t have extra pastries left over.

Ready in 13 Minutes

The short prep and cook time make this a handy dessert for busy evenings.

Homemade Greek Yogurt Dough

Self-rising flour and Greek yogurt make the pastry dough without canned dough or puff pastry.

Warm Apple Filling

Apple, cinnamon, and monk fruit sweetener make a classic filling with no added sugar.

Ingredient Substitutions

Self-Rising Flour

Replace the self-rising flour with ¼ cup all-purpose flour mixed with ⅜ teaspoon baking powder and a small pinch of salt.

Fat-Free Greek Yogurt

Plain low-fat or full-fat Greek yogurt will also work. Avoid regular yogurt because its thinner texture can make the dough sticky.

Monk Fruit Sweetener

Use another granulated sugar substitute that measures like sugar. Regular granulated sugar also works if preferred.

Apple

Use a firm apple that holds its shape, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Pink Lady.

Egg Wash

Brush the turnover with milk instead of egg if needed. The top may not brown quite as deeply.

Tips and Tricks

Choose a firm apple – A firm variety holds its texture better and keeps the filling from becoming watery.
Avoid overfilling the dough – Keep the filling away from the edges so the turnover seals properly.
Check the bottom before serving – Air fryers cook differently. Add another minute if the bottom of the turnover still appears pale or soft.

Storing and Reheating

Store in the refrigerator – Place the cooled turnover in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
Reheat in the air fryer – Warm the turnover at 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes.
Avoid the microwave – The microwave can make the pastry soft instead of crisp.
