Mediterranean Chicken Sweet Potato Protein Bowl has plenty of contrast in every serving, from warm roasted sweet potatoes and seasoned chicken to cool cucumbers, crisp romaine, and juicy tomatoes.
The chicken is made with oregano, garlic, smoked paprika, and lemon, giving it a savory flavor with just a little brightness.
Sweet potatoes add a soft, lightly caramelized element, while chickpeas make the bowls even more filling. Then there’s feta for a salty bite and parsley for a fresh finish.
The lemon garlic yogurt sauce ties everything together. It’s creamy but still light enough to drizzle generously over the chicken and vegetables.
With 52 grams of protein per serving, this Mediterranean-inspired dinner is especially useful when a substantial meal is the goal.
A large baking sheet gives the sweet potatoes enough room to brown instead of steam. A large skillet makes quick work of cooking the bite-sized chicken while the potatoes roast.

Why You’ll Love This Mediterranean Sweet Potato Protein Bowl
Plenty of Protein
Each serving has 52 grams of protein from chicken, chickpeas, Greek yogurt, and feta. It makes a hearty meal without needing an extra side dish.
Warm and Fresh in One Bowl
Roasted sweet potatoes and warm seasoned chicken sit alongside crisp lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion. That contrast gives every bite a little something different.
Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce
The Greek yogurt sauce adds creaminess, lemon, garlic, and dill without covering up the other ingredients. It works especially well against the smoky paprika and oregano on the chicken.
Good for Meal Prep
Most of the bowl can be prepared ahead of time. Keep the lettuce, vegetables, sauce, chicken, and sweet potatoes separate until serving so everything keeps its best texture.

Ingredient Substitutions
Chicken Breast
Boneless skinless chicken thighs can be used instead. They may need a little more cooking time, so cook them until they reach 165°F.
Chickpeas
Cannellini beans are a mild substitute if chickpeas aren’t available. Drain and rinse them before adding them to the bowls.
Romaine Lettuce
Chopped spinach, mixed greens, or shredded green leaf lettuce can replace the romaine.
Feta Cheese
Reduced-fat goat cheese can work in place of feta for a softer, creamier texture and slightly different flavor.
Greek Yogurt
Plain low-fat Greek yogurt can replace nonfat Greek yogurt in the sauce.

Notes
Tips and Tricks
Give the sweet potatoes room – Spread the cubes across the baking sheet without crowding them. A little space helps the edges brown. Cut the chicken evenly – Keep the pieces close to the same size so they finish cooking at about the same time. Keep meal-prep ingredients separate – Store the lettuce and fresh vegetables away from the warm ingredients and sauce. This helps them stay crisp. Thin the sauce if needed – Greek yogurt varies in thickness. Add a small splash of water if the sauce is too thick to drizzle easily.Storing and Reheating
Store separately – Refrigerate the cooked chicken and sweet potatoes in airtight containers for up to 4 days. Keep the lettuce, vegetables, feta, and yogurt sauce in separate containers for the best texture. Reheat the chicken and sweet potatoes – Microwave one serving until heated through, or warm them in a skillet over medium-low heat. Assemble after reheating – Add the warm chicken and sweet potatoes to the cold vegetables, then finish with feta, parsley, and lemon garlic yogurt sauce.Nutrition
