  • Using an apple corer, core the apples. Don't go through the bottom, leave the bottom unbroken.
  • In a small mixing bowl, add nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  • Fill the apples with the mix using a spoon.
  • Place 1 teaspoon of butter on top of each apple
  • Place prepared apples in a deep, microwave safe casserole dish and cover.
  • Microwave the apples for 3½ – 4 minutes or until they are tender.
  • Let the apples rest for 2 – 3 minutes before serving.
