Ingredients
- ¾ cup whole wheat flour
- ½ tbsp baking powder
- ½ tbsp cinnamon
- 1 egg white lightly beaten
- ½ cup buttermilk – fat-free
- ⅕ cup applesauce – unsweetened
- 1 to 1½ tsp no calorie sweetener to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients. Mix well until it's smooth.
- If the batter is too thick for your liking, mix in water by tablespoonfuls (add 1 then mix before adding more) until it's as you like.
- Prepare a griddle or large skillet by heating, and spraying with butter flavored Pam cooking spray.
- Drop batter by 2 heaping tablespoons full onto griddle. When the bottom is golden, carefully flip the pancake to cook the other side. Makes 6 pancakes, 3 pancakes = 1 serving.
