  • In a medium saucepan, add water, cloves, piloncillo, anise, and cinnamon sticks.
  • Over medium/high heat, bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Take pan off of heat.
  • Add in coffee and stir to mix well.
  • Cover and steep for 5 minutes
  • In a small saucepan, add evaporated milk.
  • Over medium/high heat, whisk constantly until milk becomes frothy and just boils. Remove from stove.
  • Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the coffee over coffee mugs.
  • Serve immediately with the frothed milk on the side.
