Tips and Tricks

Bacon

For easier wrapping, use cold bacon straight from the fridge. If the bacon is too warm, it can become too soft and difficult to handle.

Toothpicks

Soak the toothpicks in water for about 10 minutes before using them. This prevents them from burning in the oven.

Brown Sugar

For an extra caramelized coating, press the brown sugar gently onto the bacon-wrapped franks before placing them on the baking sheet. This ensures a more even and sticky coating.

Baking

To avoid a messy cleanup, line your baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. This will catch any drippings and make cleaning up much easier.

Serving

If you’re serving these at a party, placing them in a Crockpot on low heat will keep them warm and delicious throughout the event. Just make sure to stir occasionally to keep the sugar evenly distributed.

Variations

For a different flavor twist, you can sprinkle a little cayenne pepper or smoked paprika over the brown sugar before baking. This adds a subtle kick and smoky depth to the dish.

Storage

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the oven at 325°F for about 10-15 minutes or until heated through before serving again.
