I am so excited to share this recipe for slow cooker baked apples with you. They are the perfect fall dessert and they couldn’t be easier to make. It took me less than 5 minutes to throw everything in my crockpot and let these bad boys go all day long!

The best part is, I can eat as many as I want without any guilt because it’s only got a few ingredients and uses sugar substitute.

When it comes to baked apples, there is a lot of room for creativity and experimentation. There are many different things that can be added into the mix: spices, nuts, or dried fruit. This time, we’re featuring raisins. You can make this without the raisins, as I did this time, as seen in the photo. I’m the only one in the family that likes raisins, so I lost the vote this time.

  • Prepare slow cooker by spraying with Pam butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray
  • In the slow cooker, add the apples, raisins (if using), sugar substitute, apple juice, and apple pie spice.
  • Cut butter into 4 or 5 chunks, and drop, spread out, on top of the slow cooker contents
  • Place lid on slow cooker, set to low, and cook for 4 to 6 hours.
