Creamy Berry Avocado Smoothie hits the spot when you want something cold and creamy for breakfast. It’s made with nonfat milk, Greek yogurt, frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, avocado, oats, honey, vanilla, and ice.

The berries give you that classic smoothie flavor. Avocado thickens things up, but don’t worry it doesn’t really taste like avocado.

This one’s great for busy mornings or when you just need a quick snack after school. Sometimes I’ll even throw granola on top if I’m craving a little crunch.

Oats add more body, and the Greek yogurt makes it extra filling. If you keep frozen berries, oats, and Greek yogurt around, you can whip this up pretty much any time.

You’ll just need a blender, a measuring cup, and some measuring spoons. That’s it, simple and straightforward.

Why You’ll Love This Creamy Berry Avocado Smoothie

It’s Ready Fast

This smoothie takes about 7 minutes from start to finish, which makes it a good choice for busy mornings.

It Uses Frozen Fruit

Frozen strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries keep the smoothie cold and thick without much prep.

The Avocado Makes It Creamy

The avocado blends into the smoothie and gives it a smooth texture without taking over the berry taste.

It Works for Breakfast or a Snack

This smoothie has fruit, Greek yogurt, oats, and milk, so it works well as a light breakfast or afternoon snack.

It Has a Little Crunch on Top

The granola topping is optional, but it adds texture and makes the smoothie feel more finished.

Ingredient Substitutions

Milk

You can use almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, or another milk you like in place of nonfat milk.

Greek Yogurt

Vanilla Greek yogurt can be used instead of plain Greek yogurt. If using vanilla yogurt, you may want to skip the vanilla extract or honey.

Frozen Berries

You can use any frozen mixed berries if you don’t have separate strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

Honey

Maple syrup can be used instead of honey. You can also leave it out if your berries are sweet enough.

Old-Fashioned Oats

Quick oats can be used in place of old-fashioned oats. The texture may be a little smoother.

Granola

Chopped nuts, extra oats, or coconut flakes can be used instead of granola for topping.

Notes

Tips and Tricks

Use a ripe avocado – A ripe avocado blends smoother and gives the smoothie a better texture.
Taste before adding honey – Frozen berries can vary in sweetness, so taste the smoothie before adding extra honey.
Use frozen berries straight from the freezer – This helps keep the smoothie cold and thick.
Add more milk if needed – If the smoothie is too thick for your blender, add a small splash of milk and blend again.
