Weight Watchers Ground Beef and Cabbage Casserole
Ingredients
- ½ cup onions chopped
- 1 lb ground beef – lean
- 4½ cups cabbage coarsely chopped
- ½ cup brown rice uncooked
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1½ tsp beef bouillon
- 1 tsp sugar
- ¾ cup water
- ½ tsp dried dill
- 6 ozs colby cheese or swiss cheese shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- In a skillet add onion and ground beef.
- Brown ground beef – cooking onion at the same time.
- Prepare a 9×13 casserole dish by spraying with cooking spray.
- Add cabbage to prepared casserole dish
- Top cabbage with uncooked rice. Add ground beef and onion mixture on top of rice.
- In a mixing bowl, add Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, sugar, beef bouillon, water, and dill. Mix well. Pour on top of contents of casserole dish.
- Bake in preheated oven for 1½ hours.
- Remove from oven. Sprinkle the cheese over the casserole. Allow cheese to melt, and serve.
