  • In a food processor, add fresh basil, olive oill, and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
  • Pulse food processor to mix.
  • In the food processor, add garlic, pine nuts, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pulse until pesto is well combined and smooth.

To Store:

  • If not using immediately, lay out a sheet of plastic wrap on a flat surface.
  • Roll the plastic wrap around the pesto for form into the shape of a tube.
  • Seal the plastic wrap around the pesto.
  • Keep in the refrigerator until need, then cut a slice off the tube in the amount you need.
