Easy WW Friendly Philly Cheese Steak
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 1 pound lean flank steak cut into 8 thin slices
- 2 teaspoon reduced sodium Worcestershire
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 4 reduced calorie hot dog bun
- ¼ cup shredded reduced-fat Mexican cheese blend
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- Spray a large nonstick skillet with olive oil spray and place it over medium-high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, add the onion and cook until it's tender and golden brown, which should take about 10 minutes.
- Remove the onion from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add the steak to the skillet and cook it until it's browned and fully cooked, which will take about 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
- Pour Worcestershire sauce over the steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the liquid has been absorbed.
- Place the steak evenly on the buns, then top with the cooked onion and cheese.
- Wrap each bun with steak, onion, and cheese in foil.
- Place the wrapped buns in the oven and bake until the cheese melts, about 5 to 7 minutes.
