Tips and Tricks

Ripe Bananas: Use ripe bananas for a sweeter, more flavorful mousse. If your bananas aren’t ripe enough, let them sit at room temperature for a day or two.

Substitutions: If you prefer a different sweetener, try honey or a sugar substitute. Just adjust the amount to taste. You can also swap the low-fat yogurt for Greek yogurt if you like a thicker consistency.

Vanilla Extract: For a more intense vanilla flavor, consider using pure vanilla extract instead of imitation. A vanilla bean pod can also be used; just scrape out the seeds and blend them in.

Chilling Time: Let the mousse chill for at least an hour before serving. This helps it set and enhances the flavors.

Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The mousse will keep for up to two days.

Serving Ideas: Garnish with a few slices of fresh banana or a sprinkle of crushed nuts for added texture. A dollop of whipped cream can also make it extra special.
