Boosting the Flavor
To elevate the depth of flavor, consider adding a splash of soy sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes for an extra kick. These additions enhance the sauce’s complexity without overpowering the main ingredients.
Thickening the Sauce
If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can mix a teaspoon of cornstarch with a little water and add it to the sauce as it simmers. This will help thicken the sauce more effectively, making it ideal for coating or as a sticky glaze.
Storage Solutions
For longer storage, you can freeze this sauce in an airtight container or ice cube trays. Frozen in small portions, you can thaw exactly what you need for a meal, reducing waste and maintaining freshness.
