Tips and Tricks
Cooking the Chicken
To get perfectly golden chicken, make sure your pan is hot before adding the chicken breasts. This helps to sear the outside and lock in the juices, making the chicken tender and flavorful.
Enhancing the Flavor
If you have time, let the chicken marinate with the thyme, salt, and pepper for about 15-30 minutes before cooking. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the meat better, making every bite more delicious.
Making the Sauce Thicker
If you like a thicker sauce, you can add a little more cornstarch mixture. Just be sure to add it slowly and stir constantly to avoid lumps. This way, you can get the sauce just how you like it.
Prepping the Ingredients
Have all your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you start cooking. Slice the mushrooms, measure out the broth and wine, and mix the cornstarch slurry. This will make the cooking process smoother and quicker.
Storing Leftovers
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. This dish reheats well, so you can enjoy it the next day. Just heat it up in the microwave or on the stovetop until it’s warmed through.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this Chicken Marsala with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to keep the meal light and healthy. If you’re looking for something more filling, whole grain pasta or quinoa make great options.
