To make sure your pasta is perfectly cooked, boil it in a large pot with plenty of water and add a generous amount of salt. This enhances the flavor of the pasta itself.
Herb Preparation
Chop your herbs just before cooking to keep them fresh and flavorful. Store any extra herbs in the fridge wrapped in a damp paper towel inside a plastic bag.
Garlic Flavor
For a more intense garlic flavor, you can mince the garlic and cook it with the herbs instead of discarding it. Alternatively, infuse the butter with garlic by cooking it on low heat for a longer period.
Melting Butter
To avoid burning the butter, melt it on low heat. Once melted, you can increase the heat slightly before adding the herbs.

Weight Watchers Linguine Pasta with Herbs
Equipment
Ingredients
- 6 ozs linguine
- 2 tbsp butter – unsalted
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp fresh basil minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley minced
- 1 clove garlic bruised and peeled
- 1 tbsp oregano minced
- black pepper to taste
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to the directions on the box.
- Heat a nonstick skillet on medium high, add butter and melt. Reduce heat and add basil, parsley, garlic, thyme, oregano, pepper, and salt. Continue cooking until herbs become wilted.
- Remove and discard garlic
- Pour over pasta. Toss to coat. Serve immediately.
