  • In a saucepan over medium/high heat, add 1 TBSP butter.
  • Add garlic and onion. Cook until softened.
  • Add basmati rice and turmeric. Stir to mix well
  • Add broth, thyme, salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 17 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the butter, and stir to mix well.
  • Remove bay leaf
  • Serve immediately.
