Tips and Tricks
Potato Preparation
Make sure to slice the potato as thinly as possible. A mandoline slicer works great for getting uniform slices, which helps them cook evenly.
Microwave Safety
Check your microwave wattage. If it’s on the higher end (1000 watts or more), you might want to reduce the cooking time slightly to avoid burning the chips.
Seasoning
Try experimenting with different seasonings. Besides salt, you can use garlic powder, paprika, or even a bit of parmesan cheese for added flavor.
Storage
If you’re making a big batch, store the cooled chips in an airtight container to keep them crispy. They can last for a few days, maintaining their crunchiness.
