Tips and Tricks
Air Frying Tips
To ensure even cooking, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. If needed, cook the churros in batches to allow enough space for air circulation. This helps achieve the perfect golden brown color.
Ingredient Substitutions
If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own by mixing ½ cup all-purpose flour with ¾ teaspoon baking powder and a pinch of salt. For a dairy-free option, substitute low-fat milk with almond or oat milk.
Storage Tips
Store any leftover churros in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. To reheat, simply pop them back in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain their crispy texture.
