Weight Watchers Homemade Stuffing
Ingredients
- nonstick cooking spray
- ½ cup celery chopped
- ⅓ onion chopped
- 4 oz butter
- 12 cups dry bread crumbs cubed
- 1 tsp sage
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1½ cups chicken broth or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375° F
- Prepare a 9×13 inch casserole dish by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a saute pan, add margarine and melt over medium/high heat.
- In saute pan, add onion and celery.
- Saute until the onions become transparent
- In a large mixing bowl, add bread crumbs, onion/celery mix, sage, and black pepper. Stir to combine well.
- A little at a time, add chicken broth, stirring and tossing to mix well. Continue until the breadcrumbs are moistened thoroughly.
- Transfer stuffing to prepared casserole dish.
- In preheated oven, bake approximately 30 minutes, or until the top is browned lightly.
