Weight Watchers Homemade Stuffing Recipe. This easy side dish is a Traditional Thanksgiving, or Christmas favorite.

Made with celery, onion, butter, dry bread crumbs, sage, black pepper, and chicken broth. It’s easy to make, and much better than the boxed version.

Who doesn’t love a tasty stuffing? It is the perfect side dish to any holiday meal. But, there’s no need to spend money on store-bought boxes of stuffing mix.

What is Stuffing

Stuffing is a dish that consists of cooked and seasoned breadcrumbs that are mixed with other ingredients such as poultry, and vegetables. It is a common side dish served with chicken or turkey, and popular for the Holidays, especially Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • Preheat oven to 375° F
  • Prepare a 9×13 inch casserole dish by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a saute pan, add margarine and melt over medium/high heat.
  • In saute pan, add onion and celery.
  • Saute until the onions become transparent
  • In a large mixing bowl, add bread crumbs, onion/celery mix, sage, and black pepper. Stir to combine well.
  • A little at a time, add chicken broth, stirring and tossing to mix well. Continue until the breadcrumbs are moistened thoroughly.
  • Transfer stuffing to prepared casserole dish.
  • In preheated oven, bake approximately 30 minutes, or until the top is browned lightly.
