Weight Watchers Parmesan Chicken Tenders and Marinara Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- cup low-fat parmesan cheese finely grated
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 24 thin strips
- 1 cup marinara sauce heated
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F.
- Coat a 9 X 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a small, shallow bowl, add breadcrumbs, cheese, and garlic powder.
- Mix well with a wire whisk.
- In another shallow bowl, whip egg whites until foamy.
- Dip a chicken tender into the egg whites.
- Next, dip the same chicken tender into the breadcrumb mixture to coat it well.
- Place the coated chicken tender onto the prepared baking pan.
- Repeat steps 6 to 8 for all chicken tenders.
- Bake the chicken tenders in the oven until crispy, about 25 minutes.
- Serve the chicken tenders with warmed sauce.
