Weight Watchers Low Fat Pita Chips
Ingredients
- 2 white or wheat pita pockets
- 1 egg whites
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- powdered seasoning of your choice to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Using scissors, or a knife, cut the pitas around the edges, separating the pita into 2 round pieces each.
- In a small mixing bowl, add egg whites, then whisk in the olive oil.
- Using a basting brush, brush the egg mixture on the inside of each of the four pita rounds.
- Season with your favorite seasoning such as cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, etc.
- Using a pizza cutter or a knife, cut each of the 4 rounds into 8 triangles, like a pie.
- Place the triangles on the baking sheet in a single layer, seasoning side up.
- In preheated oven, bake approximately 15 minutes, or until they are no longer soft, and lightly browned.
- Store in an air tight container.
